Command Support Overview

Basic Commands: geoadd, geohash, geopos, geodist, georadius, georadiusbymember. These commands are supported by the standard and cluster architectures of Redis versions 4.0, 5.0, 6.2, and 7.0, as well as Valkey versions 8.0 and 9.0.
geosearch, geosearchstore commands: These commands are supported only by Redis versions 6.2 and 7.0, and Valkey versions 8.0 and 9.0. Valkey 9.0 adds the BYPOLYGON option, which supports spatial queries based on custom polygon areas.
Cross-Slot Restriction: Geo family commands do not involve cross-slot access scenarios.
