This document describes how to modify the system time zone when a SQL Server instance is created.
Note:
Two-node local disk instances:
Since modifying the system time zone requires a separate configuration of machine resources, if modification is needed, submit a ticket before purchasing to obtain a solution and specify the system time zone to be adjusted. Modification is supported only when you purchase instances with the specification of 90-core 720 GB. If you need to modify the system time zone, it is recommended to directly purchase cloud disk dual-node instances, which can be directly modified on the purchase page without specification limits. For instances with adjusted system time zones, the actual data stored in the backend is the modified UTC time. After conversion, the time for backup and rollback, slow log file, and monitoring displayed in the console frontend is UTC+8.
For instances with adjusted system time zones, if subsequent scale-out involves data migration, submit a ticket to obtain a solution. The default system time zone for an instance is China Standard Time (Beijing Time).
Single-node cloud disk/two-node cloud disk/multi-node cloud disk instances:
You can directly modify the system time zone on the purchase page.
Prerequisites
If your instance is a two-node local disk instance, you must submit a ticket to apply for system time zone modifications. If you purchase a single-node cloud disk, two-node cloud disk, or multi-node cloud disk instance, you can directly modify the character set collation on the purchase page with no need for application.

Instance Architecture and Specification Restrictions
For two-node local disk instances, you must submit a ticket to apply for system time zone modifications. This modification is supported only when you purchase instances with the specification of 90-core 720 GB. Single-node, two-node, and multi-node cloud disk instances support system time zone modifications.
Time Zone Modification Restrictions
System time zone modifications are supported only during instance purchase and are not supported after purchase.
Operation Steps
2. On the instance list page, click Create Database Instance.
3. Go to the instance purchase page and set the system time zone under Instance Configuration.
5. You can view the configured system time zone on the Instance Details page.
