The Pay AsYouGo edition of CFW uses a postpaid billing mode and is suitable for business scenarios with relatively low daily traffic.

The Pay AsYouGo edition of CFW is currently in the grayscale testing phase. To purchase it, contact your account manager.
To ensure rational resource allocation, the Pay AsYouGo edition limits the peak bandwidth to less than 10 Mbps and caps the number of protected IPs at 10. Exceeding these specifications may lead to increased network latency, congestion packet loss, and the excess portion will not be protected. If you require higher specifications, it is recommended to upgrade to a yearly/monthly subscription plan. Billing Overview

Note:
When the protection switch is not enabled, a standby fee of USD 0.06/hour is charged for the activated firewall.

The following is a sample cost calculation for a typical small and micro-sized enterprise's monthly usage scenario.
Scenario Assumptions:
Resource Consumption: Enabling one firewall instance occupies one protected public IP address.
Network Traffic: The average daily total bidirectional internet traffic is 1 GB.
Usage Duration: The usage duration is calculated based on 30 days (720 hours) per month for round-the-clock protection.

Enabling and Disabling Guide
The activation and protection enabling for the Pay AsYouGo edition are divided into separate steps. The specific operation instructions are as follows:
1. Activate Pay AsYouGo: Before using CFW, you must first go to the CFW purchase page to formally activate the Pay AsYouGo service. (Before the operation, ensure that your account has been added to the grayscale allowlist.)
2. Enable Protection: After you have successfully activated the Pay AsYouGo service, log in to the CFW console and manually enable the protection switch for the corresponding IP address based on your actual business requirements. 3. Disable Pay AsYouGo: If you need to stop using the service and stop billing, go to the CFW purchase page to disable the Pay AsYouGo service.
Attention:
Do not disable the protection switch only in the console. If you disable the switch but do not disable billing on the purchase page, the system will still charge a standby fee of USD 0.06/hour for the instance.
Mutual conversion between Pay AsYouGo and yearly/monthly subscription is not supported. To switch from Pay AsYouGo to yearly/monthly subscription, you must first disable the Pay AsYouGo service and then place a new order to purchase a yearly/monthly subscription plan.
