This scenario applies when you do not have a CX (Cloud Exchange) platform account and need to achieve interconnection between Tencent Cloud and other clouds. With this service, Tencent Cloud purchases the connection service from the CX platform on behalf of the customer, helping the customer achieve one-stop integration.
Regardless of the peer cloud, the configuration process for customers in the Tencent Cloud console remains the same. However, for the peer cloud configuration, you must refer to the configuration guide of the peer cloud.
Note:
In the one-stop mode, Tencent Cloud handles the relevant CX platform configurations on behalf of the customer. Therefore, customers do not need to be aware of the differences in the CX platform. You only need to complete the peer-side configuration as required, based on the specific peer cloud.

Prerequisites

If you have a requirement for using Cloud Exchange, first contact your business manager or submit a ticket to apply. We will then develop a suitable networking solution for you.
Meanwhile, please prepare the following information in advance:
Peer cloud: for example, AWS.
Peer region: for example, Singapore.
Peer cloud account information: for example, AWS account ID.
Bandwidth: for example, 10G*2.
Region: for example, Singapore.
Special requirements: for example, latency.
VLAN information: for example, 2999.
After you provide the above information, we will verify the resources as soon as possible. Once the verification is complete, we will promptly notify you to proceed with the next steps. The estimated processing time is 1 to 7 business days.

Google Cloud Configuration

Step 1: Preparations

Prerequisites: Your Google Cloud account must have a Cloud Router instance. If not, you need to create a new Cloud Router instance.

Step 2: Creating a Google Cloud Interconnect (VLAN Attachment)

1. Create a VLAN connection.
2. Select a partner interconnect connection.
3. Select my existing service provider.
4. To configure a VLAN connection: you can select a VPC, choose or create a Cloud Router, select an IP stack type, and configure the VLAN as needed.
5. Provide the interconnect pairing key to Tencent Cloud.
6. Activate the VLAN connection.
Wait for Tencent Cloud engineers to configure the Cloud Exchange Interconnect dedicated line, enabling dedicated line connectivity between Tencent Cloud and Google Cloud.
Note:
The VLAN connection will only truly open the network port for network negotiation and start billing after it is activated.
7. Configure dedicated line BGP interconnection.
After Tencent Cloud engineers complete the configuration, you can see that the line has been successfully provisioned within your Google Cloud account and can then formally activate the interconnect.
8. Configure the BGP session within the VLAN connection.
8.1 Go to the Cloud Router page and complete the configuration of the Tencent-side AS number and BGP negotiation key.
8.2 Enable the BFD session and save the configuration: This completes the enabling and related configuration of BFD.

Tencent Cloud Configuration

Step 1: Viewing Cloud Exchange Information in the Console

1. Log in to the Direct Connect console and click Cloud Exchange in the left sidebar. You can then view the Cloud Exchange instance information, complete the acceptance (Note: acceptance must be completed on the peer side first), and confirm payment.
2. Wait for you to complete the connection acceptance in the AWS console. Then, check that the Cloud Exchange instance status is Running in the Tencent Cloud console to start billing.

Step 2: Building Cloud Resources with One Click in the Console

1. In the corresponding region, create resources such as Cloud VPC and Direct Connect Gateway.
2. Log in to the Direct Connect console and click Cloud Exchange in the left sidebar.
3. On the Cloud Exchange list page, click Build Cloud Resources with One Click.
4. Fill in the basic configuration for the dedicated tunnel and click Next: Advanced Configuration.
5. Fill in the advanced configuration associated with the dedicated tunnel and click Next: Configure IDC Device.
Note:
In this example, the interconnection IP address, BGP ASN, and BGP key entered in the Tencent Cloud console must match the configuration entered in the AWS console. Otherwise, the dedicated tunnel cannot be connected.
6. Click Complete to finish configuring the dedicated tunnel.

Step 3: Verifying the Dedicated Tunnel Status

1. Wait for you to complete the configuration on the AWS side.
2. Log in to the Direct Connect console and click Cloud Exchange in the left sidebar.
3. On the Cloud Exchange instance page, click Tunnel Instance ID.
4. On the Tunnel Instance > Advanced Configuration page, you can view the dedicated tunnel connection status. A BGP neighbor status of established indicates that the connection is up.

Resource Interconnection Verification (On-Demand)

Note:
Traffic must be allowed by the security group rules.
You can create compute instances on Tencent Cloud and Google Cloud and interconnect related cloud resources as needed.
