This tutorial applies to scenarios where you do not have a CX (Cloud Exchange) platform account and need to achieve interconnection between Tencent Cloud and other clouds. The service involves Tencent Cloud purchasing the connection service from the CX platform on behalf of the customer, helping the customer achieve one-stop integration.
Regardless of the peer cloud, the configuration process for customers in the Tencent Cloud console remains the same. However, for the peer cloud configuration, you must refer to the configuration guide of the peer cloud.
Note:
In the one-stop mode, Tencent Cloud handles the relevant configurations on the CX platform on behalf of the customer, so the customer does not need to be aware of the differences in the CX platform. You only need to complete the peer-side configuration as required, based on the specific peer cloud.

Prerequisites

If you have a requirement for using Cloud Exchange, first contact your business manager or submit a ticket to apply. We will then develop a suitable networking solution for you.
Meanwhile, please prepare the following information in advance:
Peer cloud: for example, AWS.
Peer region: for example, Singapore.
Peer cloud account information: for example, AWS account ID.
Bandwidth: for example, 10G*2.
Region: for example, Singapore.
Special requirements: for example, latency.
VLAN information: for example, 2999.
After you provide the above information, we will verify the resources as soon as possible. Once the verification is complete, we will promptly notify you to proceed with the next steps. The estimated processing time is 1 to 7 business days.

AWS-Side Configuration

Step 1: Accepting the CX Connection Request

1. Log in to the AWS Direct Connect console. In the left navigation pane, click Connections to go to the Connections page. Locate the connection ID to be accepted and view its details. Click Accept on the right to accept the connection order.
2. Wait for the configuration to complete until the connection status is available.
Note:
For the subsequent steps of AWS-side configuration, customers can build them as needed based on their own business requirements. The process is similar for other cloud providers.

Step 2: Creating a Virtual Interface

1. On the connection details page, click Create Virtual Interface.
2. Fill in the virtual interface information, select the corresponding connection and Direct Connect gateway (you can create resources such as gateways as needed), enter the virtual interface configuration details, click Create Virtual Interface, and complete the virtual interface configuration.
Note:
In this example, the peer IP address, BGP ASN, and BGP key entered in the AWS console must match the configuration entered in the Tencent Cloud console. Otherwise, the virtual interface cannot be connected.

Step 3: Verifying the Virtual Interface Status

1. Wait for Tencent Cloud service personnel to complete the configuration on the Tencent side.
2. Check and confirm that the virtual interface is available and the BGP status is up.

Tencent-Side Configuration

Step 1: Viewing Cloud Exchange Information in the Console

1. Log in to the Direct Connect console and click Cloud Exchange in the left sidebar. You can then view the Cloud Exchange instance information, complete the acceptance (Note: acceptance must be completed on the peer side first), and confirm payment. For billing details, see Billing Overview.
2. Wait for you to complete the connection acceptance in the AWS console. Then, check that the Cloud Exchange instance status is Running in the Tencent Cloud console to start billing.

Step 2: Building Cloud Resources with One Click in the Console

1. In the corresponding region, create resources such as Cloud VPC and Direct Connect Gateway.
2. Log in to the Direct Connect console and click Cloud Exchange in the left sidebar.
3. On the Cloud Exchange list page, click Build Cloud Resources with One Click.
4. Fill in the basic configuration for the dedicated tunnel and click Next: Advanced Configuration.
5. Fill in the advanced configuration associated with the dedicated tunnel and click Next: Configure IDC Device.
Note:
In this example, the interconnection IP address, BGP ASN, and BGP key entered in the Tencent Cloud console must match the configuration entered in the AWS console. Otherwise, the dedicated tunnel cannot be connected.
6. Click Complete to finish configuring the dedicated tunnel.

Step 3: Verifying the Dedicated Tunnel Status

1. Wait for you to complete the configuration on the AWS side.
2. Log in to the Direct Connect console and click Cloud Exchange in the left sidebar.
3. On the Cloud Exchange instance page, click Tunnel Instance ID.
4. On the Tunnel Instance > Advanced Configuration page, you can view the dedicated tunnel connection status. A BGP neighbor status of established indicates that the connection is up.

Resource Interconnection Verification (On-Demand)

Note:
Traffic must be allowed by the security group rules.
You can create compute instances on Tencent Cloud and AWS as needed and connect the relevant cloud resources.
Test the connectivity between the Tencent Cloud side and the AWS side.
Step 1: Tencent Cloud pings AWS
Step 2: AWS pings Tencent Cloud
